Murder & Masterpieces: Expansion Cast Packets
10 More Suspects for Every Mystery
Already hosting Murder & Masterpieces events? These expansion packets double your table.
Each mystery in the original collection is written for 10 guests. These packets add 10 more fully written suspects to every story β so you can seat 20, re-run a mystery for guests who've already played, or swap in fresh characters whenever you like.
Written for the same commercial use as the originals. Host as many paid events as you want.
Each expansion packet includes:
- 10 additional characters with full backstories
- 10 character cards with private secrets
- 10 clue cards for the first evidence round
- 10 clue cards for the second evidence round
- An updated cast list for your suspect board
- Host notes on running a 20-guest table
- Printable materials, formatted to match your original packets exactly
Every new suspect speaks in both clue rounds. These aren't background characters who sit quietly while everyone else talks β each one has a secret to guard and a line to read every time the envelopes open.
Three ways to use them
ποΈ Seat 20 instead of 10 Same story, same envelopes, same evening β twice the tickets. Add the new cast to your original ten and run the night exactly as written.
π Run it again for repeat guests Swap the new cast in and re-run a mystery for a group who already played it. New names, new secrets, new accusations flying across the table.
βοΈ Mix and match Short one guest? Pull a card. Have a regular who'd be perfect as the retired detective or the newspaper photographer? Drop them in. Every character is designed to be added one at a time.
What's inside each one
π¨ The Poisoned Palette β Expansion Cast
The competition widens. A gallery scout who was promised the winner's name early. A second judge whose scores were changed after he submitted them. A conservator who can date a canvas. And last year's runner-up, who lost by a single point and never understood how. Suggested painting theme: Artist's palette and paintbrushes.
π¦ The Midnight Gallery: The Raven's Secret β Expansion Cast
The art world closes in. A restorer who found another artist's work beneath one of Evelyn's canvases. An insurance investigator holding a policy written eight days ago. An anonymous buyer who had already purchased the missing painting. And the estate lawyer she asked to draft an admission she never signed. Suggested painting theme: A raven beneath a moonlit sky.
π The Midnight Express β Expansion Cast
The old case reopens. A signal operator who logged a stop that never made the investigation. A retired detective told to stop looking. A union rep with the name of every worker who lost a job. And a widow whose husband was blamed for it all and died before anyone proved otherwise. Suggested painting theme: A vintage train traveling through the night.
π The Christmas Gala: The Missing Christmas Star β Expansion Cast
The whole town turns up. A baker whose stall fee doubled overnight. A hardware store owner who hasn't been paid since last Christmas. A postmistress who knows exactly who's been writing to an out-of-town auditor. And a photographer with a picture of the tree from that afternoon β with no Star on it. Suggested painting theme: A beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
π¦ The Butterfly Conservatory: The Monarch's Secret β Expansion Cast
The institution has its own secrets. An architect who built a door that isn't on any plan. A doctoral student whose entire dissertation was in the missing journal. A rival director who offered to buy the whole collection. And the attorney who watched Celeste sign the succession document that afternoon. Suggested painting theme: A monarch butterfly surrounded by flowers.
Please note
These are add-ons. Each expansion packet is designed to be used with its matching Murder & Masterpieces mystery β you'll need the original packet to run the event. IF YOU NEED THE ORIGINAL MURDER MYSTERY PACKET - BUY IT HERE:
The mystery keeps its original ending. The killer, the motive, and the reveal stay exactly as written, so nothing you already know changes. That's what lets you run the same story twice in a week for two different groups without relearning a thing. Several of the new suspects hand the room a genuine lead toward the truth, but the answer at the bottom of your host page is the one you've always had.
No rewriting. No rebalancing. No figuring out how to stretch a ten-person mystery across a bigger room.
Print, cut, and seat twenty.
