Lori Miller is the owner and artist behind Rare Bird Art Studio — a self-taught acrylic painter with a passion for bringing creativity to her community.
Born in Waterville, Maine and raised in Winslow, Lori is married to the love of her life and is the proud mother of two daughters.
Her journey into the art business began in 2018 when a friend invited her to host a paint night at their brewery, sparking what would become her company, Painting with Lori. Energized by that momentum, she opened her first studio on Front Street in Augusta, Maine in January 2020 — a milestone quickly interrupted by the global pandemic just two months later. E
ver resilient, Lori turned that setback into an opportunity, relocating to a new space on Water Street in Augusta that September and rebranding as Rare Bird Art Studio.
In July 2023, Lori and her family made a bold move to Riverview, Florida to grow the business further. She opened her first Florida studio in Riverview that August, and in January 2026 expanded into a larger space at 329 E. Robertson Street in Brandon, FL.
