I will be your instructor-

My name is Lori. I’ve been painting for as long as I can remember, and for the past 8 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching others how to paint. It’s been amazing to help people discover their creative talents and watch them grow as artists. I’m passionate about making the painting process fun and approachable for everyone, whether they’re beginners or have some experience. My goal is to inspire and empower others through my workshops and courses.

You will learn how to mix colors to get the correct color and basic color wheel usage.

I will be offering daily demonstrations, breaking down each painting and the basics of the color wheel over 5 days. Join me at 11 AM EST for easy, digestible, 1-hour sessions.

Day 01

First Day Jitters Removed

I will guide you through the supplies needed for the remainder of the week, providing a detailed explanation of the brushes, accompanied by a demonstration. We will explore color theory by practicing color mixing and begin sketching onto our canvas using a tracer. Our first project will focus on creating a beautiful daisy painting..

Day 03

Pumpkin Season!

Day 02

Sweet Daisy

I will begin by guiding you through a step-by-step process to color the center of the daisy, ensuring we achieve the proper shading and highlights. We will work on almost everything but the final touches of the pedals.

Day 04 and 05

Backwash and starting to color transform our pumpkin.

We will complete our daisy painting by adding the final touches to the white petals. Once finished, we'll move on to our 12x12 inch canvas, where we will begin sketching the pumpkin for our final painting project.

Together we will paint our pumpkin and daisies. We will transform that white canvas to a beautiful piece you will be absolutely proud of and display all season.

What's included?

Materials Needed

Acrylic Paint and Mediums: The colors we'll use are shown in the color swatch (click to enlarge). Feel free to use whatever colors you have on hand! While acrylic medium is optional, we will be incorporating matte medium and slow-dry medium.
Two Square Surfaces: Choose either 10x10 or 12x12 sizes. (Or go crazy and get one of each!)
Brushes: large flat, medium filbert, and small round.
.Paint Palette: A standard palette or a paper plate will work just fine.
Carbon Copy Paper: Alternatively, a #2 pencil can be used for sketching.

Okay cool! I have answers!

But. . . I've never painted outside of paint party before. That's okay! I will walk you through step by step and show you how to use your brushes and color mixing.

What kind of paint do I use? I will be using acrylics. I will post all the acrylics I use but you can use whatever colors and whatever brands you'd like.

Where are the videos hosted? All interactive live sessions will be hosted in a private Creative Week Facebook group. If you're not on Facebook, don’t worry—you'll still have access to the video replays through December 20th through the Facebook group.

What If I can't catch the live videos? No worries! We understand that schedules vary, and our students are from all over the world. The lesson replays will be available on-demand until September 30th, so you can catch up at your convenience!

You can just join for $10, which is about equal to one trip to Starbucks.
